Our Earth

Continuing on with our Earth sciences we are now studying our Earth--the inside and outside. I introduced the kids to the layers of the earth using a peach and today we made jello jigglers to help them understand the texture of the mantle. They made a model of the inside of the earth (the layers),

and we talked about the continents and oceans and they labeled our map.
I think it's fascinating and hope the kids catch on to my enthusiasim.

On a different note. . .Faythe has discovered scissors and loves to cut. This age is fun. 2 year olds are learning new words and new skills and they are fun to watch.
